This qualification provides a trade outcome in Carpentry, covering work in residential and commercial applications.
The qualification has core units of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry as well as a specialist field of work. To achieve the qualification CPC30211Certificate III in Carpentry there are 30 units of competency, comprising of 22 Core Unit and 8 Elective Units.
The construction industry strongly affirms that training and assessment leading to recognition of skills must be undertaken in a real or very closely simulated workplace environment and the qualification requires all units of competency to be delivered in this context.
Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of the unit CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement.
How we deliver the training
This course is delivered by face to face learning and includes flexible classroom delivery, workplace simulation, assignments, assessments tasks and workplace activities.
The use of Skills-Tracker for work place assessment is essential as part of your evidence requirements.
